Scope of Responsibility

An exciting opportunity is available in our Production department! We are looking for an amazing PC Prep Technician who thrives on challenges and has a passion for helping others to join our team. You will be reporting to Manager – Logistics and Depot Services. Squirrel Systems is a leading Point of Sale Technology provider to the global hospitality industry. The Manufacturing/ PC prep technician will be responsible for acting as a liaison between Production, the Depot and the support team throughout multiple project lifecycles. In addition to making recommendations in response to new solutions, this individual will also assist in:

  • The preparation and update of business processes
  • Reviewing and prepping Squirrel equipment for customers
  • Managing and maintaining inventories
  • Cross training
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned by Manager

The role requires the ability to review business opportunities and technical specifications. Other duties will be assigned as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and revamping processes, maintain and update procedures as needed
  • Automating configuration tasks for PC Prep
  • Manual PC Prep, checklists
  • Reviewing, modifying and maintaining customer images
  • Create ESET, HASP’s and remote browsers, update SFDC (Sales Force Dot Com) with updates
  • Assist in Shipping and receiving as required
  • Assist Depot & Service with image maintenance
  • Perform FAI’s
  • Set up peripherals for bench testing
  • Identify and analyze information to give early warning of potential problems and recommend
    corrective action

Desired Skills / Experience / Education

  • Works well under pressure and deadlines; Good time management
  • Restaurant experience is considered an asset
  • Well-rounded technical knowledge in both operating systems & Squirrel software
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization, planning and prioritizing skills
  • Proactive approach to problems and issues, working ahead of potential glitches
  • Skill in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
  • Skill in teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability, along with a customer focus,
    results orientation, and business sense
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate the status of assignments
