Scope of Responsibility

We are looking for an amazing Hardware Repair Technician to join our Hardware Services department! This is an entry level position, and you will be reporting to Manager – Logistics and Depot Services. You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining hardware. Tasks range from customer service, in-shop repairs, inventory control and other tasks as assigned by management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform in-shop hardware repairs including troubleshooting and cleaning of all hardware as assigned

  • Assist with inventory control by completing regular inventory checks

  • Interact with customers and resellers regarding service repairs, provide repair estimates

  • Complete testing for 100% operation of repaired device prior to quality check sign off

  • Maintain neat and clean work areas

  • PC prepping and data transfer

  • Demonstrate effective customer communication skills

  • Perform other related duties as required by management

Desired Skills / Experience / Education

  • Electronic Technician Diploma, Networking Diploma, or equivalent education/experience

  • Experience and or relevant technical support expertise in hardware/software

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting using diagnostic tools

  • Proficient in board-level repairs, exchanging components

  • Working experience in the following technologies: Server 2012-2019, Windows 10, TCP/IP

  • Good mechanical skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Highly motivated and a fast learner

  • Ability to work independently and also as a team player
