Built on the latest Microsoft SQL Server relational database which powers some of the largest enterprise systems today. Squirrel’s POS Manager, with a familiar browser style desktop is able to be accessed directly from the central PC or remotely via the internet. It has an open architecture Ethernet network communication which is a world wide standard.
Upload and download communications becomes routine with POS Manager. You can easily make changes to the menu database at the corporate center, and download them to the restaurants which can in turn perform the up-dates at any time. Or, changes can be pre-scheduled to update automatically (unattended if you prefer).
Menu Management, Consolidated Corporate Reporting, and Event Manager for scheduling, are the components of Corporate POS Manager that help you control the many databases that are part of running a multi-unit operation.
Menu Manager

Menu Management is how large and smaller chains
drive their menus.
System-wide menu updates are made easily, at
the drop of a napkin. Multiple menus can be
developed and managed from this single program.
This solution enables corporate centers to define the scope of menu control for individual locations – some prefer to define a certain amount of latitude in food and beverage items, for example, while others choose to “lock down” all menu entries and make all decisions centrally. The choice in pre-configuring the program is entirely yours. Menu management is also where content is created for the “workspace” area of POS terminals. Head office/store parameters for the rest of the display area are also determined here.
Consolidated Corporate Reporting
With this tool, immediate and ongoing performance feedback can be gathered from every store in the system. Based on the day’s results (or date-range of your choosing) reports can be generated for any store or group of stores, and exported via Crystal Reports.
Event ManagerConvenient and smooth chain-wide POS communication is, pardon the pun, an easy nut to crack. The reason: Squirrel includes Event Manager with Corporate POS Manager. Event Manager’s purpose is to schedule tasks, such as sending new menu data from corporate to store level, and transmission of daily sales data from stores to corporate.
However, as a scripting tool, Event Manager can help you schedule through any program.
