Bonfire Restaurant & Bar Provides Guests with Pay at the Table for Peace of Mind

Payment Cards Now Stay with Guest at all Times

Squirrel Systems, a leading provider of hospitality point of sale solutions has installed wireless Pay at the Table devices at the Bonfire Restaurant & Bar.

"Bonfire has installed this payment solution to enhance the guest experience and improve payment card security," said Linda Gillis, Director of Marketing for Squirrel Systems. "The solution includes a wireless Pay at the Table device from Ingenico powered by Global Payments Systems' payment application."

"Consumers are getting very concerned about credit and debit fraud and are comforted to know that their cards stay with them," said Bonfire Operating Partner David Keeler. "Being able to bring this technology right to the table is a great addition to our guest services. Having the information flow seamlessly into our POS system reduces entry and reconciliation errors which save us time and money."

"The initial wireless pay at the table deployments in the market have been in stand-alone mode without integration to POS. Squirrel was one of the first to market with POS integration to Ingenico's wireless payment devices," said Ms. Gillis. "Table service establishments are finding that by enabling pin debit at the table they are reducing their fees over credit card transactions and that flows directly to their bottom line."

Since the spring of 2002, guests have been enjoying the culinary delights of Presto Cucina with gusto, generous servings, and above all, the beckoning smell of fresh garlic.

Bonfire is located at The Cove Lakeside Resort in the sunny Okanagan Valley. The Cove is a full-service luxury resort hotel, a playground for adults and children alike with a beachfront walkway, pools, hot tubs, water slide, putting green and private marina. The beautifully appointed suites have splendid views of the lake and surrounding mountains and the landscaped gardens invite exploration
